Classes for children, youth, and adults, meeting for about an hour before worship. Newcomers can join any class at any time of year.
5th Sunday All Day Meeting. When a month has a fifth Sunday, New Hope keeps a tradition that goes back generations. Ministers from around the area gather here and the day is given to worship, preaching, singing, and a meal together. The day begins with morning worship at the regular hour, breaks for a meal shared in the fellowship area, and continues into the afternoon. If you can only come once, come on a fifth Sunday.
What to Expect
What should I wear?
Whatever you have. Some of the older members still put on a suit and a hat. Others come straight in from the yard. Nobody is looking you over.
Will I be singled out?
You will get spoken to, because that is how folks are here. But nobody will make you stand up in front of the church. If you would rather have somebody sit with you, tell a greeter at the door.
What about my kids?
Bring them. Children stay in worship with their families, and a fair amount of wiggling and noise comes with that. Nobody minds. Sunday School classes for the children meet at 9:45.
How long is the service?
About an hour and fifteen minutes. Worship generally includes hymns, prayer, scripture, and a sermon.
Do I have to give?
No. The plate comes around during worship and you are welcome to pass it right on. Guests are guests.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. It is all on one level with no steps at the door, and the ushers are glad to help anybody who needs a hand getting in or getting seated.

Since the fire that destroyed our sanctuary in September 2020, the congregation has worshiped at the New Hope Community Life Center at the address above. Use that address in your phone or GPS.
Parking
Parking is on site and free, in the lot beside the building. Spaces closest to the main entrance are kept open for anyone who needs a shorter walk. Come in through the main doors and a greeter will meet you.
Getting here
Huger is in the northern part of Berkeley County, off Highway 41 in the Francis Marion National Forest area, roughly half an hour north of Mount Pleasant. Heywardridge Lane is a short residential road, so watch for the turn. Cell service can be spotty out this way, so it helps to load directions before you leave home.
